A Deeper Insight into Alcoholic Beverages Legal Matters: New SOGs Publication

January 25, 2023

Over the years, SOG Law Firm assisted numerous clients, specifically related to the alcoholic beverage industry, successfully navigating the complex regulation spectrum in Serbia and the region. As an outcome of practice and in-depth expertise by our lawyers, we are now introducing our latest publication: Serbian Market Legal Framework for Alcoholic Beverages.

The Framework includes matters related to the sale of beverages, tax planning, production & distribution issues, IP matters, and more. The paper is a valuable source of information for liqueur distributors since it practically advises them on how to facilitate their daily business operations smoothly.

More specifically, our partner Milan Samardžić, along with the firm’s Senior Associate Tijana Kovačević, have analyzed specific regulations for beer, wine, and strong alcoholic drinks. And the general rules concerning domestic Laws on excise duties, advertising, and protection of competition.

How to properly handle labeling? For what, exactly, are producers or importers responsible? Which beverages are subjected to mandatory quality testing? What conditions should imported beverages meet?

These are some of the questions precisely answered in our legal survey.

Explanations also follow up with the alcoholic beverages advertising and the regulations of the Government of Serbia by addressing specific categories of agreements on the sale, purchase, or distribution of goods.

In advance, the Serbian Market Legal Framework for Alcoholic Beverages is also a significant lead to intellectual property, health care, real estate, or environmental issues faced by companies operating in the beverage industry.

Whether you are an international liqueur producer, a regional distributor, or a client in the distilled spirits industry, learning more about regulatory matters is now just a click away from you.
