We are thrilled to announce that Dragana Stanojević, Sandra Rodić, and Aleksandar Zarić joined SOG as consultants. They will be the core members of the team focusing on international and local business development, cooperation with international and domestic development institutions, and economic and regulatory reforms that accelerate transparency, legal certainty, digital economy, and adequate financing leading to economic growth.

Dragana Stanojević is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in leading and implementing economic and regulatory reforms essential for economic development. She has extensive experience in commercial law practice, regulatory and economic reforms, good governance and – strengthening capacity, accountability and transparency of GoS agencies, commercial courts reform, and strengthening of the SME sector. Dragana was the Chief of Party on the USAID Cooperation for Growth Project and USAID Business Enabling Project, and the Deputy Chief of Party at the USAID Bankruptcy and Strengthening Activity, and USAID BEP. She has served as a liaison between international and Serbian institutions, and between the public and private sectors, organized and led teams of up to 25 Project staff members, and chaired complex regulatory reforms, such as inspections, construction permitting, bankruptcy and enforcement.

Sandra Rodić is an experienced professional in the field of finance, having more than 10 years of experience in project management, government policy advising, advocating and lobbying for financial market development and on issues related to SMEs access to finance, facilitating private-public dialogue and capacity building of various governmental bodies, with the strategic orientation toward the digital economy and digital financing. Before joining SOG, Sandra led SME Access to Finance Component at the USAID Cooperation for Growth Project in Serbia, which was aimed at improving the financial environment and SMEs access to finance. She was also engaged as a financial expert in the USAID’s Business Enabling Project. Besides her extensive work in project management and government policy advising, Sandra also has over 10 years of experience in finance, with proven expertise in developing and managing portfolio strategies, thorough knowledge of South-Eastern European and global capital markets, and a strong record in financial consulting.

Aleksandar Zarić is a legal expert and MBA holder with over 18 years of professional experience, with the last 8 holding senior positions in delivering technical assistance as a consultant and policy advisor, and managing development activities at three consecutive USAID-funded projects. He was engaged as the Business Environment Director on the USAID’s Cooperation for Growth project and was in charge of leading the project’s efforts to facilitate improvements that have the greatest impact on increasing overall predictability and stability of the business environment and private sector investment and growth. Before joining the “world of international development”, Aleksandar has served as the Head of Legal and Compliance Department for the Balkans region at the KBC Securities, part of the KBC Group, and gained a thorough understanding of the financial and business sectors in Serbia and neighbouring countries (Montenegro, Macedonia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina).

We are excited to be working with Dragana, Sandra and Aleksandar in the future. Their regulatory background and business-oriented mindset are a welcome addition to the SOG team, and the multidisciplinary skill set and vast experience they bring will further strengthen our developed Government and Legislative Affairs practice.
