Glinska & Mišković and SOG, members of Lexcellence regional legal alliance, advised Merkury Market on the high-value multimillion EUR acquisition of furniture and appliance company Emmezeta in Serbia and Croatia.

In their respective jurisdictions, GAMC and SOG undertook a limited due diligence review, conducted transaction documents draft and review, assisted with merger control filings and streamlined the transaction until closing.

Merkury Market operates over 60 stores for construction materials and furniture in Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. This transaction allows them to expand their business in Southeast Europe by adding 16 Emmezeta stores in the Serbian and Croatian markets.

Milan Samardžić comments: „This transaction is a clear example of Lexcellence’s regional legal capacities to act as a unified front and help our clients cut through most complex cross-border transactions. We are glad that another client is satisfied with the level of service provided by Lexcellence.”

In Croatia, the transaction was led by partner Beata Glinska and Attorney At Law Emil Cetina, while the Serbian part of the transaction was headed by our partner Milan Samardžić and senior associate Milan Novakov.
