Due to the health crisis caused by COVID-19 virus and all issues it has caused worldwide, Serbia has enacted some new rules on business traveling to the country. Namely, as of January 21, foreign and domestic citizens who enter Serbia for business reasons (“business people”), can cross Serbian border without a PCR test if they previously notify the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia (“CCS”) on their arrival.

Namely, the business people have to send an email to CCS, 48 h before their arrival to Serbia, to the following email address: inocovid19@pks.rs. This email must contain following information:

  1. name and surname of the person (or persons) entering Serbia;
  2. passport number and the name of the country of issuance;
  3. business reasons for coming to Serbia;
  4. exact date and point of border crossing into Serbia;
  5. flight number or car registration number, etc.;
  6. address and duration of stay in Serbia, contact phone, email.

All the above stated information must be sent on memorandum of the company and once CCS receives it, it will be forwarded border police that enables simplified procedure of entry to Serbia.

Upon the arrival, within next 24 hours, business people have to be tested on COVID-19 virus in a Serbian reference laboratory, and to submit the test results to CCS. If they do not follow this procedure or if the test turns out to be positive, CCS will inform competent health authorities.

Finally, these rules will not apply to those who arrive from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Montenegro, and North Macedonia, because they are allowed to enter Serbia without a PCR test.
