Attention! – Deadline for Compliance with the Public Procurement Act Expiring Soon
The new Public Procurement Act of the Republic of Serbia was enacted on 1 January 2020 (hereinafter: the “Act”). Its final provisions determined that most obligations prescribed by the Act will become effective as of 1 July 2020, thereby setting a deadline for its compliance to the same date.
Companies that are registered as bidders before the Serbian Business Registers Agency should particularly be aware of this deadline, as there are only 9 more business days left to acquire necessary documentation and avoid losing their bidder status.
If you have any unresolved questions regarding the process of compliance with the Act, now would be the time to consult with your attorney of choice.
