SOG Delivers a Presentation on Data Protection and GDPR at Holiday Inn

SOG / Samardžić, Oreški & Grbović lawyers held a presentation about the Serbian Data Protection Act and GDPR at Holiday Inn Belgrade hotel premises. The presentation was delivered by our data protection experts, Partner Miloš Velimirović, Senior Associate Katarina Živković and Associate Kristina Pavlović.

The main aim of the presentation was covering the main aspects of GDPR as well as the Serbian Data Protection Act, with focus on the challenges of application of this new regulation in the specific environment of the hospitality industry.

Some of the key talking points were legal and practical principles of data processing, data subject’s rights and the controllers’ obligations, as well as minimizing risks related to data breaches. The presentation also covered necessary measures needed to be taken to harmonise business with the new rules and avoid penalties.
